What are Eyelash Extensions

The Eyelash Extension technique consists of applying one or more silk or mink lashes to a natural lash.
Depending on the volume you want to achieve, the length, diameter, and curvature are chosen. Lengths range from 5mm to a maximum of 17mm for diameters between 0.03mm (very light and imperceptible lashes) and 0.20mm (stiffer lashes).
The curvatures are essential to correct and define the look. They are classified through letters, the most used are C (less curved), CC, D, and DD (extra curved).


Not only is the quality of the material important, but it is also crucial that the application is performed, as by GuardaMI Milan, by certified and experienced professionals to avoid unpleasant damage to your natural lashes. If the application is performed correctly and with excellent materials, natural lashes will not be damaged even without breaks over the years.

The first application when you don't have extensions is called a New set.
The duration of this treatment is about 2 hours.
This time is necessary for evaluating the client's natural lashes, consultation to choose together the type of treatment to perform based on the desired aesthetic result, and finally to perform the application.
At the end of the treatment, if it is the first time, it will be explained how to take care of the extensions to always have them perfect and with maximum duration.

It is recommended to schedule an appointment for a touch-up after about 3 weeks.
Since we lose a number of natural lashes every day, based on their life cycle, extensions will also fall out.
The touch-up allows you to always have lashes in perfect order without having to redo a New set.
The touch-up takes about 1 hour during which the extensions that are about to fall out are cleaned and removed without damaging the natural lashes, and new extensions are applied to restore the initial effect.
